ISUP 2024 Employment Forum: corporate photo shoot at the Newcap Event Center

As a corporate photographer in Paris, I had the privilege of covering the ISUP Employment Forum for the third year running. This student recruitment event, organized by AAE ISUP (Association des Anciens Élèves de l'ISUP), was held on November 25, 2024 at the Newcap Event Center in Paris. My mission on site was to produce an event photo report throughout the day, as well as to run a mobile studio for professional portraits of the participants. Here's a look back at a day rich in exchanges between students and companies, in the prestigious setting of the Newcap Event Center on the banks of the Seine.

ISUP and its alumni association AAE ISUP

Founded in 1922,ISUP (Institut de Statistique de l'Université de Paris) is renowned for the excellence of its training in statistics and applied mathematics. From the second year onwards, students can specialize in actuarial science or statistical engineering & data science, highly sought-after fields by employers.. This high-level academic reputation makes ISUP a benchmark for companies looking for young talent with a mastery of risk and data analysis.

Founded in 1944,AAE ISUP is Sorbonne Université's oldest alumni association.. Chaired by Thomas Debais, it leads a dynamic network of alumni and maintains close ties with the school. Every year, AAE ISUP organizes key events - the ISUP Employment Forum, professional meetings, alumni presentations - to support students in their transition to the world of work.. The Job Forum is a key event that strengthens the ISUP community by creating opportunities for exchange between students and recruiters.

ISUP 2024 job fair: students and companies meet up

The 2024 edition of the ISUP Employment Forum was held on November 25, 2024 at the Newcap Event Center (Paris 15ᵉ). The event brought together over 150 graduating students and 46 partner companies who came to meet ISUP's future actuaries and data scientists.. Major insurance groups (Allianz, AXA, Generali, SwissLife), banks (Société Générale) and specialized consulting firms (Detralytics, Aon, etc.) were among the participants, testifying to their confidence in the quality of the training provided at ISUP.. The confidence of these partners demonstrates the attractiveness of the ISUP Paris actuarial and data science program to the industry..

Throughout the day, students were able to talk directly to professionals, ask questions and refine their career plans in a studious yet friendly atmosphere. Networking, CV advice, conferences on careers... the interactions were rich and formative. At the end of the afternoon, the forum came to a convivial close with a cocktail and buffet, offering a moment of relaxation after the informal discussions. This event, orchestrated by AAE ISUP, once again fulfilled its mission: to create a direct link between ISUP students and the professional world, thus facilitating the integration of young graduates.

Corporate photojournalism: at the heart of the event

As the corporate photographer present at the Forum, my role was to capture the essence of the day and highlight its highlights. Armed with my camera, I produced a complete event photo report, from the opening of the stands in the morning to the closing cocktail party in the evening. I immortalized the exchanges between students and recruiters on the company stands, the presentation and networking moments, and the general atmosphere of the event. The aim was to reflect the professional dynamics of the forum in my images, while at the same time bringing out the conviviality and enthusiasm of the participants. Handshakes, smiles, exchanges of business cards and moments of complicity were all captured in photos to illustrate the success of this ISUP 2024 Employment Forum.

Newcap Event Center: an event venue in the heart of Paris

The Newcap Event Center boasts an exceptional location on the quays of the Seine, facing the Eiffel Tower, offering a prestigious setting for business events.
Located at 3 quai de Grenelle (Paris 15ᵉ), the Newcap Event Center is a modern, multi-purpose event space, ideal for hosting forums, seminars or conferences. This ISO 20121-certified facility boasts 1,200 sq. m. of modular space accommodating up to 800 people on two levels. It includes a 550 m² main stage bathed in natural daylight, and a total of 17 modular rooms offering up to 500 possible layout configurations.. The modularity of the rooms means that the venue can be adapted to any type of event, from plenary sessions to small-group workshops.

In addition to its flexibility, the Newcap Event Center's appeal lies in its location in the heart of Paris. On the banks of the Seine and a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, it offers a remarkable setting for participants. Easy access is a major advantage: the center is within easy reach of the Bir-Hakeim metro (line 6) and the RER C (Champs-de-Mars - Tour Eiffel station), as well as several bus routes. Companies and institutions regularly choose this venue for its accessibility and the quality of its infrastructure (high-tech facilities, integrated catering service, rooftop space, etc.). The 2024 edition of the ISUP Employment Forum thus benefited from a location commensurate with its importance, contributing to the success of the day.

Covering the ISUP 2024 Job Fair once again showed me the importance of these meetings between students and professionals. This event is a real springboard for ISUP Paris students who aspire to a career in actuarial science, data science or statistics. We're already looking forward to the next edition, and hope to once again capture some great moments of exchange and success!
