On the set of the short film "Jusqu'au jour où..." (Until the day when...)

Recently, I was lucky enough to be a set photographer on the shoot of the short film "Jusqu'au jour où...", produced by Firebay Production. Two intense days, punctuated by demanding shots, moments of doubt, but above all an incredible collective energy carried by a passionate team.

Immersion at the heart of the shoot

Above all, cinema is a human adventure. On this set, I discovered an ultra-involved team, where every member, from the director to the technicians, not forgetting the actors, was determined to give their very best. Two long, tiring days, but rewarding on every level.

My role as set photographer? To capture the essence of these moments, to immortalize the interactions between the technical team and the actors, to freeze the moments of concentration, laughter and complicity, but also those moments of doubt and questioning that are part of the creative process.

On-set photography has an essential role to play, not only in documenting the shoot, but also in promoting the film once it has been edited. So I tried to capture the mood of the shoot, the atmosphere of the set and the emotions at play behind the camera.

A team of enthusiasts

The shoot was directed by Jérôme Lecamus, Ibrahima Diallo and Cindy Bobbio, with cinematography by Samuel Telot and photography by Harris Thiery Maisari. Sound was in the expert hands of Matthieu Bizet, scripting by Marina Ortis, and make-up artist Pauline Perreira gave the actors the finishing touches before each take.

A huge thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome and kindness. These two days have reminded me why I love photography so much: to tell stories, to capture the moment and to show what's behind the scenes.
